Manchester City were held to a draw by Italian side Inter Milan at the Etihad in their opening UEFA Champions League fixture.
The Citizens were coming off the back of a narrow 2-1 win over Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.
However, they failed to take their form to the European competition as they struggled to beat Inter Milan, playing a 0-0 draw on the night.
Rodri made Manchester City’s starting line-up for the first time this season as they start their Champions League campaign at home against Inter Milan.
Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, and Bernardo Silva all came in, with John Stones, Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan and Mateo Kovacic dropping to the bench.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, were led by Thuram and Taremi in attack while Lautaro Martinez was left on the bench.
The game started and both teams went for each other’s neck, with lots of chances created to get the first goal.
However, both teams failed to convert their chances as they all went begging, bringing an end to the first half.
Both teams came back for the second half but still struggled to convert their chances as they did in the first half.
Inter Milan kept Manchester City on their toes and looked solid in attack, causing a lot of trouble for Guardiola’s side.
Both teams tried late on in the game to get a goal but could not find the back of the net, with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.
