Empoli closing in on Chelsea’s Anjorin
Empoli are in advanced talks to sign Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin.
The Blues are likely to earn little up front for the 22-year-old, but include a sizeable sell-on clause in the deal with the Serie A side.
Anjorin is expected to soon complete a medical and will leave having been at the Stamford Bridge club since he was seven.
He has made five senior appearances for Chelsea and also had spells on loan at Portsmouth, Huddersfield Town and Lokomotiv Moscow.
But injury issues have slowed Anjorin’s development and he trains with the ‘loan group’ away from Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad.
