West Bromwich Albion sign Styles from Barnsley
West Bromwich Albion have made their ninth signing of the summer transfer window by bringing in Hungary midfielder Callum Styles from League One side Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
The versatile 24–year-old, who won the most recent of his 23 Hungary caps in this summer’s Euros, has signed a four-year contract.
“I couldn’t turn an opportunity like this down,” said Styles. “Albion are a big club who should be in the Premier League. The ambition for everyone is to get back there. I really want to be successful here, both as an individual and as part of the team.”
Styles, whose move was completed after the Baggies’ 2-1 win at Stoke, can play in a variety of roles on the left side.
He is the second Barnsley player to join the Baggies this summer after striker Devante Cole.
