Chesterfield Bring In Right-Back Daley-Campbell
Chesterfield have secured the signing of right-back Vontae Daley-Campbell on a one-year contract following a successful trial period.
At 23, Daley-Campbell joins Chesterfield as a free agent after recently leaving Peterborough United at the end of last season.His stint with Peterborough was brief and uneventful, as he did not feature in any matches after arriving on a short-term contract in February. The last time he played competitive football was for Cardiff City in October 2022.
Daley-Campbell expressed his enthusiasm about the move, stating, “Since being on trial here, the gaffer and the staff have been fantastic with me, and it just feels right.” His positive experience during the trial evidently influenced his decision to join Chesterfield.
Additionally, Chesterfield have included an option in the contract to extend Daley-Campbell’s stay by another year, contingent upon both parties’ agreement.
