Burton sign Bodin following exit from Oxford
Burton Albion have taken their total of summer signings to 13 after signing Billy Bodin following his exit from Oxford United.
The 32-year-old Wales international has signed a two-year deal with the refurbished Brewers.
After starting at Swindon Town, the former Torquay United, Crewe Alexandra, Northampton Town, Bristol Rovers and Preston North End striker has hit 80 career goals, including nine last season to help Oxford win promotion.
“He will bring a wealth of experience from both the Championship and League One, which will be a great asset,” said sporting director Bendik Hareide.
“I still feel that I’ve got plenty to offer at League One level ,” said Bodin. “And I hope that I can also add some experience to the squad to help benefit the younger players.
“I spoke to Steve Seddon and Ryan Sweeney and they had great things to say about the club and everything that is going on, so it was a pretty easy decision.”
