The 24-year-old joined Marseille from Sheffield United last summer.

Ndiaye scored four goals from 46 games last season, helping the French club reach the Europa League semi-finals.

“He is still young but has experience at European and international level and we feel he will be a really positive addition to our squad,” said Everton manager Sean Dyche.

Sheffield United reluctantly accepted a reported £20m offer for Ndiaye following his impressive contribution of 14 goals and 11 assists, crucial to their Championship promotion in 2022-23.

The Blades signed Ndiaye from non-league side Boreham Wood in 2019, with the France-born forward having spent time with the Marseille academy before moving to Senegal, the country of his father’s birth.

“Ndiaye joins Everton as their third summer signing, following the return of winger Jack Harrison on a season-long loan from Leeds and central midfielder Tim Iroegbunam’s permanent move from Aston Villa.

Ndiaye, who has earned 20 international caps, said he joined the club because of its prestige, long history, and the chance to help it succeed in the future.

“I am incredibly excited and honored to be a part of Goodison Park’s final season.”

Kevin Thelwell, Everton’s director of football, said, “We have been fans of Iliman for a while and are excited to bring such a sought-after talent to Everton.”. We believe he will energize our fans and bring a new dimension to our attack.”
