Charlton Sign Coventry Striker Godden

The 32-year-old has spent the past five years at Coventry, scoring 50 goals in 156 games after joining from Peterborough United.

Godden has agreed a two-year deal at the League One side, with a club option of a further year.

Matt’s a fantastic acquisition for the football club – he has proven pedigree and is a proven goalscorer at every level he has played,” Charlton boss Nathan Jones

Godden scored nine goals for Coventry last season and helped the Sky Blues reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup, having also been part of the side that won promotion to the Championship in 2020.
